Young Star

Our English Day care center is a nice and cheerful place with an interesting, event-rich everyday life.
The children here are happy and enjoy every day and hour spent together with their friends at YOUNG STAR.

We have a healthy and safe environment, careful, enthusiastic and experienced staff –
qualified teachers, assistants and nurses who easily create a “home” atmosphere,
allowing children's individuality to develop and flourish.

All the educational activities and everyday routine in YOUNG STAR are provided in English.
But this is not an obstacle for children who are coming here without knowledge of this language.
Every new child joins an already formed group of children
who can communicate in English and who eagerly help the new ones.

The educational process is well balanced between the free play and
structured activities, and all the teachers and nurses constantly work
on developing both the social and academic skills of the children.

YOUNG STAR is open from the beginning of August to the end of June
with four weeks vacation in July. All official holidays and traditional vacations
in Finland are holidays and vacations for the English Day Care Center.

The English Day Care Center is open from 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday.

We can also organize day care services before or after the working time of YOUNG STAR,
but only by special request and with additional charge.

An accident insurance is provided for all children during their stay in the Day care center.

For children enrolled for half day, the breakfast /snack only is included in the fee.
Lunch for these children can be ordered additionally upon request.

YOUNG STAR - English Day Care Center enrols children between 3 and 6 years old.

Your child can stay for full day, or half day (up to 4 hours), or on an hourly basis.

When the child is enrolled for the first time, a Registration fee of :
80 EUR - for half day and after pre-school program day care services
160 EUR - for full day care services is charged once.
Payment of the Registration fee guarantees the booking of a place in YOUNG STAR.

You can use full-time or part-time day care services, paid by monthly Kindergarten fees.

(An essential part of the money from these fees could be paid by KELA).

The monthly fee amount does not change if the child uses the day care services for less days or hours.

For each child enrolled for day care service in YOUNG STAR,
a monthly fee equivalent to that paid during the school year period has to be paid for July (four weeks vacation).

When children are already 6 years old, they join the English pre-school program.
This program is 4 hours a day, in the morning.

The pre-school program starts in the middle of August and ends in May!
The program is charged according to the Day care program prices.
